Why does Receiptor AI require a credit card for free trials?

Learn why Receiptor AI asks for a credit card to start a free trial, how your payment data is kept safe, and how to cancel or extend your free trial.

We require a valid credit card to access the platform to help us identify and block spam and bots that could exploit our automated document processing and data extraction pipeline.

If you don't feel comfortable sharing your credit card details, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. You can easily cancel your subscription with the click of a button before the end of your 14-day free trial, and you'll never be charged at all. Just click on your avatar (or initials) on the top right of the screen, then click on Billing, and select "Cancel Plan" to cancel your plan.

  2. If you need more time to evaluate Receiptor AI, you can extend your trial by one additional week directly from your account — just click on your avatar (or initials) on the top right of the screen, and then select "Extend Trial."

  3. We use a best-in-class payment processing service (Stripe) to handle all transactions, so we never store, and can never see, your credit card details.

  4. We're proud to have helped thousands of individuals and businesses across 100+ countries automate their receipt collection, expense tracking, and accounting workflows — while maintaining a 99% customer satisfaction rating. We wouldn't be here without a brand built on trust.
