Connect Receiptor AI to Mercury to automatically match your extracted receipts and invoices to your bank transactions, with the original document attached directly in Mercury, no manual uploading needed.
Go to Integrations in your left sidebar.
Find Mercury and click Authenticate.
You'll be redirected to Mercury to log in and authorize the connection.
Once authorized, you'll be returned to Receiptor AI with a confirmation. Your Mercury connection is now active.
You can adjust your Mercury integration settings under Integrations > Settings.
Account Scope: Choose whether Receiptor AI should search across all your connected Mercury accounts or only a selected subset when matching documents to transactions.
All accounts: Receiptor AI will search every connected Mercury account when looking for a matching transaction.
Specific accounts: Receiptor AI will only look for matches within the Mercury accounts you select.
You have two ways to attach documents to Mercury transactions: automatically or manually.
Use this to let Receiptor AI automatically find a matching Mercury transaction every time a document is extracted, and attach the document to it — with no manual steps.
Go to Automations in your left sidebar.
Find the built-in Attach receipts to Mercury transactions automation.
Click Turn On.
Select the Mercury destination(s) you want to activate for this automation.
From this point, every document Receiptor AI extracts will trigger the AI to search for a matching transaction in your Mercury account and attach the document to it automatically.
Use this when you want to select specific documents and send them to Mercury yourself.
Go to the Documents section.
Select the documents you want to export (use the checkboxes to bulk select).
Click Export.
Select Mercury as the destination.
When a document is sent to Mercury, Receiptor AI searches your Mercury account(s) for a transaction that matches based on amount, date, and merchant. When a match is found, the original document is attached directly to that transaction in Mercury.
This gives every Mercury transaction you pay a corresponding receipt or invoice — organized and attached automatically, directly inside your banking platform.
Receiptor AI does not create, modify, or delete any Mercury transactions. It only attaches documents to existing ones.
There are several ways to track export status from within Receiptor AI.
In the Documents list, each row shows a small set of icons on the left side. The export icon appears on any document that has been exported at least once. Hover over it to see a quick summary of where the document was sent.
At the top of the Documents section, you'll find pre-built tab filters:
To Export: documents that have never been exported to any destination.
Exported: documents that have been exported at least once.
Open any document by clicking on the vendor name. In the left panel, you'll see a List of exports showing every time that document has been exported, the destination, and the date.
Go to Exports in the left sidebar to see every export job across all documents and all destinations. You can filter by status (completed, failed, processing) and by destination.
Q: What if no matching Mercury transaction is found?
A: If the AI cannot find a matching transaction, the document will not be attached. You can check the export status in Exports History and retry the export manually once the transaction appears in Mercury.
Q: Can I connect multiple Mercury accounts?
A: Yes. You can connect multiple Mercury accounts and control which ones are used for transaction matching via the Account Scope setting in Integrations > Settings.
Q: Does Receiptor AI create or modify any Mercury transactions?
A: No. Receiptor AI only attaches documents to existing Mercury transactions. Nothing is created, modified, or deleted.
Q: My document was exported but I don't see it attached in Mercury. What should I check?
A: Go to Exports History in Receiptor AI and check the status. If it shows as failed, copy the Job ID and contact us via live chat or at [email protected].
Q: Can I auto-attach only documents from specific merchants or of a specific type?
A: Yes. You can create a custom automation rule with conditions (e.g., document type, merchant name, amount) and set the action to export to Mercury. This gives you full control over which documents get matched and attached.
