You can forward any extracted document as a PDF directly from Receiptor AI to any email address — manually in one click, or automatically every time a new document matches your rules.
Forwarding documents requires that Receiptor AI has permission to send emails from your connected inbox.
Go to Sources > Email Accounts.
Click the settings icon on the inbox you want to send from.
Under Email Sending Permissions, authorize sending.
Without this, the forwarding option will be greyed out.
Go to Documents.
Select one or more documents using the checkboxes.
Click Export.
Choose Forward to Email Address.
Enter the recipient's email address(es) and click Send.
The recipient receives an email with all selected documents attached as PDFs.
Use an automation rule to forward documents as soon as they are extracted — without any manual steps.
Go to Automations > Create Rule.
Set the Trigger to Document is created.
Add Conditions if you only want to forward certain documents (optional). For example: Document Type is Invoice, Label is To Review, or Source is a specific email account.
Add an Action: Send Email → enter the recipient's email address.
Click Save.
From this point, every document matching your conditions is automatically forwarded to that address.
Q: Can I forward to multiple email addresses?
A: Yes. For manual and automated forwarding, enter multiple addresses in the recipient field separated by commas.
Q: Can I schedule a weekly digest rather than forwarding each document individually?
A: Yes. Create an automation rule with the On Schedule trigger (e.g., every Monday at 8:00 AM) and a Send Email action with a CSV or PDF export. This sends a batch rather than one email per document.
Q: Does the forwarded email include the extracted data or just the original PDF?
A: The forwarded file is the original document PDF. The extracted data fields are not included in the attachment — the recipient receives the source document as-is.
Q: The Send Email option is greyed out. What should I do?
A: You need to authorize email sending permissions first. Go to Sources > Email Accounts > settings icon on your inbox > Email Sending Permissions.
