Sender lists give you precise control over which emails Receiptor AI scans. Use them to focus on legitimate vendors and filter out anything else you do not want processed.
Go to Settings > Email Management. You will see two lists: Allowed Senders and Blocked Senders.
Each connected inbox can operate in one of two modes. You set this per inbox under the inbox’s monitoring settings:
Only analyze allowed senders — Receiptor AI only scans emails from addresses or domains on your Allowed Senders list. Everything else is ignored.
Everyone except blocked senders — Receiptor AI scans all emails except those from addresses or domains on your Blocked Senders list.
Choose the mode that fits your setup. If your inbox is mostly business-related with a few senders to exclude, use the blocked mode. If you receive a high volume of non-business email and only want to process a known set of vendors, use the allowed mode.
Go to Settings > Email Management.
Click Add Sender under the appropriate list (Allowed or Blocked).
Enter either a specific email address (e.g., [email protected]) — affects only that address, or a full domain (e.g., @aws.amazon.com) — affects all addresses from that domain.
Click Save.
Tip: Use domain-level entries to block entire categories at once. For example, adding @newsletters.example.com blocks all bulk mail from that sending domain without needing to add every individual address.
Go to Settings > Email Management.
Find the entry you want to remove.
Click the trash icon next to it.
The change applies immediately. Future emails from that sender will be handled according to the mode your inbox is set to.
When you run a retroactive extraction (to process historical emails already in your inbox), you can apply your sender lists to it. In the retroactive extraction setup, open Advanced Options and toggle on Apply sender filters. Receiptor AI will then respect your Allowed or Blocked Senders list when scanning past emails.
This ensures you do not re-import bulk mail or newsletters that were already in your inbox before you set up the filters.
Q: Do sender lists apply to all my connected inboxes or just one?
A: Sender lists are workspace-wide, but the monitoring mode (allowed only vs. everyone except blocked) is set per inbox. The same list is referenced across all inboxes that have filtering enabled.
Q: What happens to documents already extracted from a sender I now block?
A: Blocking a sender only affects future emails. Documents already extracted remain in your Documents section and are not deleted.
Q: How do I find the correct sending domain for a vendor?
A: Open one of their emails in your inbox and check the From field. The sending domain is the part after the @ symbol. Use that exact value when adding the domain to your list.
